Sue Ryder Cancer Care Midnight Walk Launch Shoot
Recently I featured as a model for a physiotherapy demo at a local beauty evening. While stretched out on a physio bed (with my bottom unattractively being broadcast on a large live feed screen) I was approached by some lovely ladies from Sue Ryder Cancer Care Events Team.
After talking to them I learnt that they were organising the Midnight Walk on the Fylde Coast. The 2010 Midnight Walk’s raised £560,000 across the UK, dramatically helping the charity aid and care for people with life-long illnesses.
I was asked to be involved as Miss Fylde Coast and invited to a photo shoot for the launch event the following week.
I arrived at Granny’s Bay in Lytham at dusk for the photo shoot with some management from the Dalmeny Hotel (the launch venue) and students from Blackpool and the Fylde College. The photo shoot was really good fun as it wasn’t too serious! I had a big pink fluffy boa to wear and the others were all wearing flashing bunny ears, a signature feature of the event.
I really enjoyed myself and I am looking forward to the official launch event in February and the photo spread in Lancashire Life in the New Year!
